Debora DeSimone earned a Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. In 2012, she became a Licensed Massage Therapist at the Center for Natural Wellness and quickly started her career at Saratoga Sports Massage specializing in massage for relaxation and pain management. Deb’s interests in health and wellness lead her to 3 years as a Wellness Director, her love of learning guided her back to school for Nursing. She practices yoga, meditation and receives massage regularly. Traveling and spending time with her two sons is her passion.
Heather L. Hughes
Heather L. Hughes earned a B.A in English Literature from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2001 and a Masters in Education for Secondary English at the College of St. Joseph in 2007. In February 2012, she began her study at The Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy, in Albany NY, and graduated as a Licensed Massage Therapist. With two marathons, three Ragnar Relays and over a dozen half marathons under her belt, Heather understands and appreciates the need for massage in the recovery process of athletes and the maintenance of active lifestyles. Heather’s clients range from high school athletes, marathoners, weekend warriors and those who live with the aches and pains of everyday life. She looks forward to increasing her knowledge and improving her techniques through continuing education in order to bring her clients the best massage practice she can. With an avid love of the outdoors, Heather can be found running, skiing and hiking with her husband and son.
Hope Robertson has been practicing therapeutic massage since receiving her license in 2012. She is a graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness of Albany and has a background in Psychology from SUNY Adirondack. Although her work consists primarily of deep tissue and sports therapy techniques, she is eclectic in style. Since Hope’s sessions are based on individual client needs, she incorporates several other therapeutic modalities such as: Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular therapy, Reflexology, and Myofascial techniques. Her intent is to always deliver the best treatment possible to restore overall balance and wellness.
Christie Showers is a Licensed Massage Therapist who earned her degree from the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy and has a background in Exercise Science from SUNY Cortland. Christie enjoys working with a diverse group of clients and incorporates several different modalities into each of her sessions, depending on her clients’ individual needs. The modalities she incorporates include but are not limited to; Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Hot Stone Massage. She loves to help people and is a very content Massage Therapist when her clients are achieving their overall health and wellness goals. In her free time, Christie loves to be outdoors; whether it is hiking, camping, or just relaxing on the lake with friends and family. Playing volleyball is and always has been a huge passion of hers, as well.
Sarah Buswell graduated from The Center For Natural Wellness in 2007. Since that time Sarah practices a variety of modalities including Deep Tissue, Swedish, Hot Stone, Reflexology, Sports and Pre-Natal. Her focus is on the client feeling better by designing a massage to fit their lifestyle and improve their day to day activities to lead a healthy life. Sarah welcomes new people all the time. Sarah is a native Saratogian and enjoys living in upstate N.Y.
Alicia Galindo is a Licensed Massage Therapist who earned her degree in 2009 from Mildred Elley. She has donated her time and service to multiple athletic charity events. Alicia is especially skilled with working with clients who suffer from Migraines and neck pain. She works well with many types of clients. Her specialties include but are not limited to Deep Tissue, Hot Stone Therapy, Pregnancy massage, and Aromatherapy. Alicia is looking forward to continuing her education so she can provide the best Massage experience for her clients.
Rebeca Torres-Rose, LMT, is a graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage in Albany. She enjoys applying different techniques to address clients' goals in each session. Rebeca is particularly drawn to practicing Shiatsu, whether on a floor mat or on the table, and incorporates elements of this work into many of her massages. She looks forward to continuing her education in Shiatsu as well as Thai Massage, and introducing clients to these styles of body work, which are performed with the client fully dressed in loose comfortable clothing and use compression, gentle traction, rocking, deep stretches and therapist assisted movement to achieve deep relaxation as well as improved flexibility, circulation, and energy for total mind-body balance.
I am currently a NYS licensed Massage Therapist, Level 3 Reiki practitioner, Meditation facilitator and Inner Alignment Life Coach.My formal career as a healer began in 2004 with my first Reiki certification. I continued in 2005 when I attended the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, NY. Over the years I have continued to take a variety of classes and have added many healing modalities to my treatments.I love working with people to assist with their healing process. I truly believe we all have the innate ability to heal. Whether it's a much needed relaxation massage during a busy vacation, a therapeutic massage due to over use or injury or ongoing holistic care, I look forward to working with you.
