Heather L. Hughes
Heather L. Hughes earned a B.A in English Literature from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2001 and a Masters in Education for Secondary English at the College of St. Joseph in 2007. In February 2012, she began her study at The Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy, in Albany NY, and graduated as a Licensed Massage Therapist. With two marathons, three Ragnar Relays and over a dozen half marathons under her belt, Heather understands and appreciates the need for massage in the recovery process of athletes and the maintenance of active lifestyles. Heather’s clients range from high school athletes, marathoners, weekend warriors and those who live with the aches and pains of everyday life. She looks forward to increasing her knowledge and improving her techniques through continuing education in order to bring her clients the best massage practice she can. With an avid love of the outdoors, Heather can be found running, skiing and hiking with her husband and son.
Christie Roth, LMT, earned her degree from the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in 2014 and has a background in Exercise Science from SUNY Cortland. Christie enjoys working with a diverse group of clients and incorporates several different techniques into each of her sessions. Myofascial release and trigger point therapy are two of her favorite techniques to use. Helping clients manage their sciatica pain is one of her many specialties. She loves to help people and is a very content Massage Therapist when her clients are achieving their overall health and wellness goals. In her free time, Christie loves to be outdoors; whether it is hiking, camping, or just relaxing on the lake with friends and family. Playing volleyball is and always has been a huge passion of hers, as well.
Sarah Buswell graduated from The Center For Natural Wellness in 2007. Since that time Sarah practices a variety of modalities including Deep Tissue, Swedish, Hot Stone, Reflexology, Sports and Pre-Natal. Her focus is on the client feeling better by designing a massage to fit their lifestyle and improve their day to day activities to lead a healthy life. Sarah welcomes new people all the time. Sarah is a native Saratogian and enjoys living in upstate N.Y.
Alicia Galindo is a Licensed Massage Therapist who earned her degree in 2009 from Mildred Elley. She has donated her time and service to multiple athletic charity events. Alicia is especially skilled with working with clients who suffer from migraines and neck pain. She works well with many types of clients. Her specialties include but are not limited to Deep Tissue, Hot Stone Therapy, Pregnancy massage, and Aromatherapy. Alicia is, also, a Reiki Master and has added this technique as a service we now offer! Alicia is looking forward to continuing her education so she can provide the best massage experience for her clients.
Donna Hier began her formal career in 2004 with her first Reiki certification. She continued in 2005 when she attended massage school at CNW, School of Massage Therapy. She has continued over the years to take a variety of classes adding many healing modalities to her treatments such as deep tissue, aromatherapy, SMRT, cupping, and ear candling to name a few. Her most recent addition is teaching meditation. She loves working with people to assist with their healing process; physically, spiritually and emotionally. Her career in the wellness field has been led by her need to heal her own illnesses and traumas. She truly believes we all have the innate ability to heal. Whether its a much needed relaxation massage during a busy vacation, a therapeutic massage due to over use or injury or ongoing holistic care, she looks forward to working with you.
Abigail Sherin became interested in Massage Therapy after discovering the benefits of massage while being treated for Lyme Disease. She graduated from CNW school of Massage Therapy in 2017. Since graduation, she has continued her education In core specific work in Myofascial Release. Working with prenatal/ postpartum women, clients with shoulder problems and issues with chronic pain are personal areas of interest. When she’s not working, Abigail is dedicated to seeking out the world's best gelato.
Erin began her career in wellness at SUNY Adirondack with a focus in psychology. Having taken courses in yoga philosophy along with her own pursuit of spirituality through Reiki courses, Erin finds it most beneficial to provide bodywork through a holistic approach. She graduated from the Center For Natural Wellness and is currently working on her personal training certification. Erin enjoys utilizing methods of sports massage, cupping, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy for therapeutic means. She also incorporates her extensive knowledge of eastern practices such as Shiatsu for an alternative approach.
